I just love to decorate cupcakes and cakes with sprinkles but if like me, your looking to add something extra special to your party table, then this mini cake bunting is perfect.
I thought I would share this cake bunting tutorial & printable PDF with you so you can have as much fun as I did creating this.
I made this really cute bunting for a friends birthday cake and added a couple of pink honeycomb pom poms on the end of wooden skewers. If you wanted to jazz it up a bit more, you could also insert paper straws over the skewers and then tie the bunting flags to the straws.
To make this at home all you need to do is click on the link and download your free printable MINI BUNTING FLAGS PDF here and follow the step by step instructions below.
2. Scissors or scapel
3. Liquid Glue (I used Tombow Mono Multi Liquid Glue)
4. Twine or ribbon
5. A4 white sheet for printing (approx 150gsm)
6. Wooden skewers and paper straws for decoration
Once you've printed your mini bunting PDF on to an A4 sheet, using your ruler and scalpel (or scissors), cut out the number of flags you think you'll need, I used seven in total.
Fold each of your flags in half and then place them in the order you would like them to hang.
Using either your twine or ribbon, glue each flag and fold over on the twine until all of your flags are attached.
Tie your twine or ribbon to your skewers and insert into your cake.
For added decoration, slide paper straws over the skewers and then you can tie the bunting to the straws.
